1. Advantages of deoxidation.

It contains high “silicon” element,thus when adding in the process of steelmaking,the silicon element reacts with oxygen to deoxidize the oxygen in the molten steel and improve the hardness and quality of the steel.Moreover,because silicon element has good affinity with oxygen,so the molten steel does not splash after it is put in.

2. Slag collection

It also has the advantage of slag collection.When put a certain proportion of high carbon ferrosilicon into molten steel,the oxides in the steel-making process can be quickly agglomerated,which is convenient for filtration treatment and help makes the molten steel more pure,greatly improving the density and hardness of steel.
